2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortions, adhere to the specified lengths for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections. This will ensure measurement accuracy. If necessary, install a straightener and avoid proximity to control valves or partially open valves.
2.2. Requirements for the Process Pipes Ensure the upstream and downstream process pipes meet the following criteria to maintain measurement accuracy: a. The inner diameter should match that of the sensor (0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN, where DN is the sensor's inner diameter). b. Pipes and sensors must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.
2.3. 3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters
3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections To ensure optimal performance of the flowmeter, observe these straight pipe section guidelines: Inlet straight pipe section should be ≥ 10×DN, while the outlet straight pipe section should be ≥ 5×DN.
3.2. Grounding Point Requirements For the unwavering reliability and superior accuracy of the flowmeter, it is vital to minimize the influence of external parasitic potentials. The sensor must be well-grounded, ensuring a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (Note: If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, a dedicated grounding device is not necessary.)
