For flowmeters without a ball valve, they should be installed on a non-pressurized pipeline. This non-pressurized installation allows for the selection of flowmeters without a ball valve.
Ensure a precision opening with a diameter of 50 in the pipeline. Prepare to weld a connecting pipe securely to the opening in the pipeline to facilitate installation.
For situations demanding continuous flow during loading and unloading, or where media overflow is not permissible, integrating a ball valve is essential. This necessitates selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure.
Ensure a precision opening with a diameter of 50 in the pipeline. Prepare to weld a connecting pipe securely to the opening in the pipeline to facilitate installation.

The electromagnetic flowmeter's measurement principle remains unaffected by the flow characteristics, ensuring consistent precision.
Turbulence and vortices in non-measurement regions of the pipeline, such as elbows, tangential throttling, or partially open shut-off valves upstream, do not compromise measurement accuracy.
However, steady-state vortices within the measurement area can affect both stability and accuracy of the readings.
To counter such issues, consider the following measures to stabilize the flow distribution:
1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter
2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate effects of vortices and flow field distortions, adhere to specific requirements for the lengths of straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the flowmeter. For enhanced accuracy, it is advisable to install a flow straightener and avoid installation near control valves or partially open valves.
2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes For optimal accuracy, ensure the upstream and downstream process pipes conform to specific requirements at the installation point: a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes should match the sensor's inner diameter and meet the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (DN is the sensor's inner diameter, D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.
2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure the seamless maintenance of our Thread Electromagnetic Flowmeter with Anti-Vibration and Explosion Proof Design, installing a bypass pipe is highly recommended. This is essential for scenarios involving heavily contaminated fluids or when cleaning the flowmeter without halting the fluid flow. Key considerations include: a. Facilitating maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Essential for managing heavily contaminated fluids. c. Allowing continuous fluid flow during flowmeter cleaning.
3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters
3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections To guarantee optimal performance, the straight pipe sections for the inlet and outlet are critical: Inlet should be ≥ 10×DN; Outlet should be ≥ 5×DN.
3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points For superior operational reliability and enhanced measurement accuracy, the sensor must be insulated from external parasitic potentials. Ensure the sensor is properly grounded with a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. (If the metal pipeline is adequately grounded, an additional dedicated grounding device may not be necessary.)
