PACKING & SHIPPING
At Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., we prioritize prompt and reliable delivery of your High Reliability Electromagnetic Flowmeter with ANSI Standards and IP67 Rating. We are dedicated to meeting your specified timelines, ensuring that your products reach you swiftly and efficiently. The installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter varies depending on the site pipeline conditions. For flowmeters without a ball valve, they should be installed on a non-pressurized pipeline, allowing for easy selection and installation of flowmeters without a ball valve.
A precise hole with a diameter of 50 should be made in the pipeline. Ensure that preparations are made to securely weld a connecting pipe to the opening in the pipeline.
In scenarios requiring continuous flow during loading and unloading, or where media overflow is non-permissible, a ball valve must be added. This necessitates selecting an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter equipped with a ball valve structure.
A precise hole with a diameter of 50 should be made in the pipeline. Ensure that preparations are made to securely weld a connecting pipe to the opening in the pipeline.

The requirements for the straight pipe sections are 5D upstream and 3D downstream. This ensures the correct usage of the electromagnetic flowmeter and adherence to accuracy standards.
The measurement principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter remains consistent regardless of flow characteristics.
If there is turbulence or vortices generated in the non-measurement area of the pipeline (such as elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream), it will not affect the measurement.
However, steady-state vortices in the measurement area will impact the stability and accuracy of the measurement.
To stabilize the flow distribution, consider the following measures:
1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter
2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortion, specific lengths for the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the flowmeter are required. Otherwise, measurement accuracy will be compromised (a straightener can also be installed, and it is advisable to avoid installation near control valves and partially open valves).
2.2. Requirements for Process Pipes The flowmeter has specific requirements for the upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point; otherwise, measurement accuracy will be affected. a. The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream process pipes should match the sensor's inner diameter and meet the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (where DN is the sensor's inner diameter, and D is the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and the sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation not exceeding 0.05DN.
2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes To ensure seamless maintenance and optimal performance of the flowmeter, we highly recommend the installation of bypass pipes. These bypass pipes are crucial for applications involving heavily contaminated fluids and scenarios where the flowmeter needs to be cleaned without halting the fluid flow. Key reasons for installing bypass pipes include: a. Facilitating easy maintenance of the flowmeter. b. Essential for managing heavily contaminated fluids. c. Allowing for cleaning of the flowmeter without stopping the fluid flow.
3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters
3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections Inlet/Outlet Straight Pipe Sections: To ensure accurate measurements, the inlet section should be at least 10 times the nominal diameter (10×DN) and the outlet section should be at least 5 times the nominal diameter (5×DN).
3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points For the reliable operation and enhanced measurement accuracy of the instrument, it is imperative that the system is not influenced by external parasitic potentials. The sensor must be well-grounded, with a grounding resistance of less than 10 ohms. If the metal pipeline is already well-grounded, a dedicated grounding device may not be necessary.
3.3. Requirements for Installation Position Please refer to the accompanying diagram for detailed installation position requirements.
